Hailing from Boston, MA and Providence, RI, Alternate Weekends were inaugurated into the New England music scene in 2016. Their alt-rock energy and pop hooks recall the jangle and crunch of the '90s—with a modern twist.

Singer/bassist Charley Francis and drummer Kellen Yamanaka brought a range of influences to this project, from the raw enthusiasm of punk rock to the chordal sophistication of jazz. After the departure of founding guitarist Matt Cohen, they recruited Brian Spoelhof and Andy Hanson-Dvoracek, bringing in even heavier riffage. The result of this evolution is the sound you hear today: heart-racing intensity with melodies you can’t get out of your head.

This quartet is best experienced live, but these veteran musicians have a well seasoned studio sound as well. Check their 2018 EPThe Parallel Sessions out on iTunes, Spotify, and wherever else you get your music!
